What do I do as a PC user and an IT tech to keep safe?
First: I DONT CLICK ON SCAMS FOR FREE CRUD. No game is going to give you free credits or points to get special things. If they choose to, it will be DONE BY THE GAME CREATOR and not some idiot that could be a hacker or trying to put viruses/trojans on to your computer. DONT BE STUPID.
Second: I DONT USE NORTON OR MCAFEE (two of the BIGGEST RIP OFF PIECES OF CRAP I HAVE EVER SEEN!). They slow your computer down, use too much memory, and let too many things slip through.
Third: I use PROTECTION SOFTWARE: Malwarebytes (FREE VERSION), AVG (FREE VERSION), CCleaner (FREE), and a firewall. And for severe infections from hell, after 24 hours of cleaning infections off of boss's computer, I use SPYWARE DOCTOR (PAID VERSION).
I keep windows UPDATED, all Flash fully UPDATED (BY GOING TO ADOBE.COM TO UPDATE AS THAT WAY I CAN ENSURE I AM NOT ON A FAKE SITE), and run my security programs at least once a week and clear cookies/cache on a daily basis.
Fourth: I dont let strangers connect through programs "TO FIX" whatever I have. If you fall for those, you are being STUPID and putting your information at risk. Don't be stupid, allowing a facebook or internet friend/stranger to access your computer.
Please note: I also use Windows Firewall along with my protection programs. If anything asks you to disable your firewall, I would do some research before doing so. Nothing should require you to disable your firewall.
HOW CAN YOU PROTECT YOUR COMPUTER AND KEEP FROM DESTROYING FRIENDS COMPUTERS?
DONT CLICK ON FREE SCAMS AND CRAP. SIMPLE AS THAT. DONT CLICK ON RANDOM STRANGE LINKS IN COMMENTS OR MESSAGES. IF A LINK IS SCREWED UP IN SPELLING AND SUCH, DONT CLICK ON IT.
"If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, looks like a duck, it must be a duck"....... Common sense!
Malwarebytes Free Version (takes you to CNET for download)
AVG Free Version (choose free)
CCleaner (free) with screen shots

Zoo Devs keep telling me to clear my cookies/cache. What is a cookie? What is a cache? How do I clear my cookies/cache?
Cookie: A cookie, also known as a web cookie, browser cookie, and HTTP cookie, is a piece of text stored by a user's web browser. A cookie can be used for authentication, storing site preferences, shopping cart contents, the identifier for a server-based session, or anything else that can be accomplished through storing text data.
Cache: In computer science, a cache is a component that improves performance by transparently storing data such that future requests for that data can be served faster. The data that is stored within a cache might be values that have been computed earlier or duplicates of original values that are stored elsewhere. If requested data is contained in the cache (cache hit), this request can be served by simply reading the cache, which is comparably faster. Otherwise (cache miss), the data has to be recomputed or fetched from its original storage location, which is comparably slower. Hence, the more requests can be served from the cache the better the overall system performance is.
Removal of cookies/cache on both Mac and PC: Here is a link that will provide with a list of browsers and the "how to". Applications Services
CCleaner:
I use CCLeaner as it clears both the cache/cookies AND the flash cookie which most browsers will not do during a simple browser cache clearing.
CCleaner is for PCs (Windows based operating systems)
Onyx is for Macs.
How do I cancel "One Click Agreement" between RockYou, Inc and PayPal after buying WP or an Ultra Rare?
After you purchase Wildlife Points, Zoo Cash or Ultra Rares through RockYou, Inc, using your PayPal account, a "one click" relationship is formed, which allows you to easily purchase items next time. However, this can cause problems if you have young ones that play on your zoo, or if you are purchasing something for a friend.
These steps will tell you how to break your "one click" agreement between your PayPal account and RockYou, Inc. So that the next time you wish to purchase something, you are prompted for the payment information.
Log into your PayPal Account.
Select "My Account" tab
Click on Profile
Under "Financial Information" click on "My preapproved payments"
Find RockYou, Inc. in the list and click on the Name if the status is ACTIVE.
Right under the Billing ID, click the word Cancel.
If you have more than ONE ACTIVE, repeat the step above, until they are all canceled.
This is also the place you find the phone number to Customer Service if you have any problems.
